What is Steam – Generally steam is water in the gas form. When water boils, it forms. Steam is invisible.

There are many uses of this like cooking vegetables, steam cleaning of fabrics, carpets and flooring, heating buildings, ironing cloths etc. These are domestic uses of steam bur increasing beauty, steam is very helpful too. Facial Steam – When you let steam absorb into your face for several minutes it is called facial steam or facial sauna. You can done it by face steamer or a bowl of hot water. It is very hard to do it directly. We can use a towel or any cloth for it.

Hair Steam – For doing this , people have a wet towel over their head and hair so that as much steam as possible is directed towards their hair and scalp. Generally it is useful to absorb hair oil into scalp and for extra shining hairs.

Benefits of Facial Steam-

    1. Removes toxins- Steam causes your skin to sweat and as a result lot of toxins are released. It open your pours so that dirt and bacteria can easily be removed when we use a scrub after that. On the top dead skin cells can be removed easily.
    2. Removes acne and blackheads- Steam can prevents acne , blackheads and whiteheads. Sebum forms blackheads and whiteheads . It is a natural lubricant of your skin. Today I’ll share with you some beauty tips that how you can prepare yourself in Navaratri.

Nails care-

First of all I want to start with your nails. Generally nails are our body part which we either neglect or think about them in last moment. At last moment we just see our nails, cut them in shape and colour it. Is it right? No, we should care our nails regularly if we want healthy and bright nails. No make over is complete without beautiful nails. So let’s read how we can make our nails healthy and beautiful on the Navaratri occasion.

Before the special day-

  1. Look at your nails. If it is very soft or very brittle, it may be  deficiency of vitamin A and C. So take plenty of citrus fruits, carrots and leafy green vegetables.
  2. If you work in water for long time, use rubber gloves.
  3. After bath when you apply moisturizer on your skin, don’t forget about your nails. Nails need it too.
  4. Drink sufficient water (8- 10 glass) in a day. It hydrate your skin and nails too.
  5. You may use Olive oil too for nails strengthening.

On the special day-

  1. Remove your old nail polish (if you have) with remover and rinse immediately otherwise nails will become dry.
  2. Soak nail with warm water to soften cuticles. Now gently push back cuticles. This will show your nail long and clean.
  3. Cut your nails and shape them with a filer.
  4. Apply a base coat containing keratin then apply two thin coats of colour, bottom to tip. Allow to dry.
  5. If your nails are not healthy to do this then you may use artificial nails to attend the party.

  1. To refresh your eyes use cucumber slices. Put the slices daily for 2 minutes on your eyes.
  2. If You have dark circles then use raw potato. Grate a potato and put on your eyes. This eye pack is good for dark circles.
  3. Massage your eyes with coconut oil in outward direction.
  4. Check your eyes properly and use glasses if you needed.

  2. Protect your skin from direct sun rays. Use a hat or scarf. Use sunscreen on your skin when you go out.
  3. Work according to your skin type. Like dry skin needs creamy nourishment and oily skin needs lots of water.
  4. Don’t forget to moisturize your skin. After bath and when you wash your face apply moisturizer.

Method

  1. Pour the color and the developer into a bowl and mix it well.
  2. Place a towel around your head to keep the color from dripping into your clothes.
  3. Wear gloves and apply vaseline around the hairline.
  4. Start from the hairline on the forehead.
  5. Take a small section of your hair and apply the color on this portion.
  6. Repeat it for all.Leave it on for stipulated period or 20 minutes.
  7. Then pull it to the tips with a wide comb.
  8. Leave the color on the end for no more than  minutes.
  9. Rinse- After the time period has elapsed rinse your hair thoroughly with tepid water till the water runs clear.
  10. Use conditioner for 2 minutes and then rinse it off.

  1. Be sure that your hairs are in good condition.
  2. Use a hot oil hair treatment before coloring to nourish your hair.
  3. Avoid washing your hair right before coloring your hair.

Types of skins-

  1. Normal skin– Normal skin is well balanced skin. Most of the people have normal skin. It is easy to maintain it. It is a healthy skin. In rainy season , the people of having normal skin should use face pack of fuller’s earth.(multani mitti) For scrubbing they can use moong dal scrub. it can easily made by soaked moong daal.
  2. Dry skin- Dry skin has less moisture. People with dry skin feel a tightness in face and their skin is often irritating. Almond and honey face pack is very good for this type of skin. It moisturize the dry skin very gently. For making this take 6-7 soaked almonds and grind properly. Mix it with some honey and apply.
  3. Oily skin- An oily skin have excess of oil on face. It feels greasy. It has a glossy shine and visible pores. Only natural scrubs are good for oily skin. Face pack of gram flour (besan) is good for this type of skin. Take 2 tsp gram flour, 1 tsp milk, 1 tsp honey and few drops of lemon and mix well. This pack will reduce extra oil from face. Warm water is also good for rinsing the face.
  4. Combination skin- This skin type is a mixture of oily and dry skin. Area of T-zone(forehead, neck and chin) feels oily and cheeks dry. In rainy season to secure our skin use remedies both of dry skin and oily skin.
  5. Sensitive skin- It is easily irritated skin. This skin often suffers with redness, rashes, stinging and burning. We should always use only natural packs and scrubs for this skin types and try to keep away from dust and impure water.

Papaya  The best fruit for our skin

At first we know about papaya. Papaya is very nutritious fruit. It contains Vitamin C which is good for our skin. In addition it have Vitamin A, E and K which are good for our skin too. We should always eat it because it have calcium, iron, magnesium, potassium, sodium and zink too in little amount. A raw papaya pulp contains 88% water.

How it is useful for our skin –

In this section I will share easy face masks of papaya.

    1. Mix well papaya pulp, cucumber juice and tomato juice in equal amount. When it dries, apply it again. Do it 5 times. Rinse your face with cold water after 20 minutes. Daily do it for 1 week. It will cure your rashes.
    2. Mash papaya pulp with milk and apply on your face. After 5 minute rinse it with cold water. This pack is helpful to light your black spots.
    3. Take a half cup of ripe papaya pulp, 2 tsp honey and mix it well. Apply a thin layer on face of it. Rinse it after ten minutes. It is very useful in pigmentation.
    4. Raw papaya pulp, milk powder, lentil powder and half tsp honey , mix well it’s. Apply it on face and massage gently then rinse. This scrub is very good to get flawless beauty.

5.Take ripe papaya pulp and mix 10 -12 drops of lemon juice. Apply it on your face for 20 minutes and then wash it. It works for skin lighting.

6.Mash some papaya pulp with tomato pulp. Apply it on your face for 10 minutes after that wash it. This pack will reduce your marks and makes your skin brighter.

7.To reduce excess oil from your face mix papaya pulp with fullers earth powder and apply this pack on your face.

8.To get fair colour mix papaya pulp with sandalwood powder. Apply it on your face for 20 minutes and rinse well.

9.Add papaya pulp into rice powder and make a smooth paste. This face pack is very effective to remove blackheads to skins.
